The Turner Tech Eagles Alumni Association is a 501c3 organization that exists to reconnect graduates, uplift current students, and carry forward the legacy of excellence that began in 1993. Inspired by the vision of our namesake, Senator William H. Turner, and grounded in our shared pride as Eagles, we are committed to giving back, mentoring, and building a lasting impact together.
Founded in 1993, William H. Turner Technical Arts High School was built to prepare students for both college and career, combining academics with hands-on training through its career academy model. As one of Miami-Dade’s first fully integrated magnet career academies, Turner Tech set out to provide students not just with diplomas, but with certifications, job skills, and a head start on life beyond graduation.
Named after the late Senator William H. Turner, a trailblazer in education and civil rights, the school stands as a legacy of excellence and opportunity.
Today, under the leadership of Principal Julian Gibbs, Turner Tech continues to empower students across diverse fields like Medical Sciences, IT, Business, and more. The Turner Tech Eagles Alumni Association was created to honor this legacy connecting graduates, uplifting current students, and giving back to the nest.
Our Membership Mixer brings Eagles together for an evening of networking, laughter, and shared purpose. Connect with fellow graduates across all industries, celebrate the legacy, and learn how your membership supports scholarships, events and future generations.
Each year, Eagles return home to inspire the next generation. During Alumni Career Day, graduates visit their former academies to share their journeys, career paths, and real-world experiences with current students.
From classroom to career, this event is a powerful moment of connection and mentorship. Priority is given to classes celebrating their graduation milestone, and each participating class also contributes a donation to support student success and academy programs.
Every year, Eagles from every graduating class gather for a day of unity, fun, and tradition. Each class sets up its own themed tent, bringing creativity, pride, and spirit to celebrate our shared roots. From music and games to laughter and legacy, this is where Turner Tech family reunites and memories are made.
Our signature event, the 50 Under 50 Gala, honors 50 outstanding Turner Tech alumni under the age of 50 who are making powerful strides in their fields and communities.
It's an evening of elegance, inspiration and recognition celebrating the excellence that began in our classrooms and now echoes across the world.
